Last week I went along to two really awesome nights. One was the single launch of Crystal Fighters hosted by Dollop at The Old Blue Last..just signed to Kitsune this band are inevitably hot on the London party scene right now so should definitely be checked out – view my i/v with them here..
The other event was the Stag and Dagger festival where I randomly discovered a new band called Turbowolf. There is nothing better than running around a festival with no plan and discovering new music. One band I really rated was Animal Kingdom on the NME stage – I guess listening to them back right now at my laptop they sound a bit wet – but after a few beers .. or waters and in the atmosphere of a bustling room surrounded by music lovers and pretty members of the opposite sex .. (going too far?) Richard (the singer.. we’re on first name terms don’t you know..* ) knows how to captivate the crowd. www.myspace.com/weareanimalkingdom – but for now – something a bit heavier- TURBOWOLF.. YEAAAHHHH!!!! Awesome double bill of bands you’ve got here. Love Crystal Fighters – Xtatic Truth is a real party starter – but it’ll be a party Turbowolf finish off!
Both these bands will be smashing everyone’s stereo’s up soon enough.

The ‘wolf = absolutely amazing. I stumbled across them at S&D 2008, and I’ve been addicted ever since.
